Weekend at the Russel Tribunal. Shit was really rad, seeing both solidarity with those suffering under the Occupation of Palestine by Israel and learning articulately certain crucial facts of what is going down. It’s part of a four session series of court style cases (there was an old one back in the day for ‘Nam) where they where to cover what exactly where the infractions of Israel’s occupation. The New York one, the fourth and final one, was on “U.S. Complicity and UN failings in Dealing with Israel’s Violations of International Law Toward the Palestinian People”, which covered the introductory topics, U.N. gritty law practices, U.S.’ role, and the case of Sociocide. It was mad interesting and informative and big talker’s on the left where there (Angela Davis, Alice Walker, Noam Chomsky, Roger Waters, Ilan Peppe’, etc…). Although, it has a lot of what people already thought was there, it was nice to have viable constructive law speech and first hand accounts of the destruction of the occupation.
